Booking
When should I book?
As early as you can. We recommend booking by mid-April for May collections and mid-May for June collections. Slots fill up fast in the final fortnight of term.
How long does booking take?
About 3 minutes. You’ll select your items, pick a collection date and time slot, create an account, and pay. Confirmation email arrives straight away.
Can I change my booking after I’ve made it?
Yes — just email us. You can update the number of items, change your collection date (subject to availability), or add extras up until 48 hours before collection.
Do I need to be a University of Stirling student?
We primarily serve University of Stirling students but we’re happy to store for anyone in the Stirling area. Just book as normal.
Pricing & payment
How does your pricing work?
One flat fee per item for the entire summer. No weekly or monthly charges. The price you see at booking is the price you pay — collection and delivery included.
What are your prices?
Our small box £16, our large box £40, your own box or container £35, suitcases and bags £40, bikes £60. Other items priced on application.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. Collection, storage and standard UK mainland delivery are all included in the item price. The only optional add-on is £5 for our label printing service.
When do I pay?
You pay online during booking via card. We use Stripe for secure payment processing.
Do you offer refunds if I change my mind?
Yes. Full refund if you cancel more than 7 days before your collection date. Partial refund if less (because we’ve already prepared and allocated resources). See our full Terms & Conditions for details.
Boxes & items
Do you provide boxes?
Yes — strong double-walled boxes in two sizes (50×30×30cm and 40×40×40cm). We deliver them to your door before collection day, free of charge.
Do you provide tape?
Yes, a roll of packing tape comes with your box delivery.
Can I use my own boxes or containers?
Yes. Cardboard boxes, plastic storage tubs, suitcases, holdalls — all welcome. Just make sure they’re sealed and labelled.
What can’t I store?
No perishables, no liquids, no hazardous materials (flammables, aerosols, batteries, power banks), no cash, no illegal items. Anything you wouldn’t post in the Royal Mail basically.
What weight limit per box?
Our small boxes up to 15kg, large boxes up to 20kg. If you’re not sure — if you can comfortably lift it with two hands, you’re fine.
Do I need to label my boxes?
Yes — we email labels to print with your booking confirmation. Or tick the £5 label printing service and we’ll print and attach them for you.
Can I store a bike?
Yes — £60 flat fee for the summer. If it’s locked, just put the key or combination in your booking notes.
Collection
When do you collect?
Throughout May and June. You’ll see all available dates and 2-hour time slots when you book.
Where do you collect from?
From the ground floor of your halls or flat. For halls of residence we collect from the reception/main entrance. We don’t carry items up stairs.
Do I need to be there at collection?
Ideally yes. If you can’t be, leave your labelled items at reception or with a flatmate and add a note to your booking explaining where to find them.
What happens if I miss collection?
Get in touch straight away — we’ll try to reschedule within the week at no extra cost. After that a small rebooking fee may apply.
During storage
Where are items stored?
In a secure, dry facility in Stirling.
Is my stuff insured?
Items are stored at your own risk. We strongly recommend arranging your own contents insurance — many student policies include storage cover, so check with your insurer before your collection date.
Can I add more items during the summer?
Not during summer storage — the collection is a one-time service. If you need additional items collected separately, contact us for a quote.
Can I access my items during storage?
No — items are stored with everyone else’s and we need to keep the warehouse secure. If you need something back early, contact us and we can arrange an early delivery (extra fee may apply).
Return delivery
When do you deliver back?
Throughout September, ahead of the new term. We’ll email a reminder for you to log in and confirm your return address and delivery date.
What if I’ve moved to a different address?
No problem — just update your return address in your online account. We deliver to any address in UK mainland.
What if I’m moving abroad?
Get in touch — we can arrange international shipping through our partners for an additional fee.
Can I collect my items myself?
Unfortunately not — for security reasons the warehouse isn’t accessible to customers. But we can deliver anywhere in mainland UK.
What if I need items back early?
Just let us know — we can usually arrange early delivery within 5 working days. A small additional fee may apply.
Still got questions?
We’re a local team and we answer every email personally — usually within the hour during business hours.
